Renga is a valuable traditional culture that has continued uninterruptedly since the Muromachi period (1336-1573) in the Imai Gion event, designated as an Intangible Folk Cultural Property by the prefecture. In the renga contest, participants are divided into groups of 5 to 10 people （ and each group completes a renga of 22 verses. Come and experience the charm of traditional Japanese culture, which you cannot experience every day. We are looking forward to your participation. Renga is a literary and poetic form of poetry in which several people gather to form a group and recite a long （, five-seven-five ）, and short （, seven-seven ） linked verses. Renga has a set of rules called shikimoku, and the poems are composed according to the shikimoku, using both Yamato and modern words to interweave the seasons and people's lives.
